Freedom

It was a very solemn occasion this day in 2019 as I joined with the Atlanta Memorial Singers in concert at the American Memorial Cemetery in Normandy, France. Nothing prepares you for the overwhelming sense of sacrifice and honor by our fallen heroes in defense of our freedom. Today, Monday May 30th, 2022, let us all pause together in absolute reverence and thankfulness from the depths of our heart and soul. 

For today’s featured song, here is Jon Batiste performing his song Freedom at this year’s Grammy Awards telecast. I feel this is an iconic performance, one that will be remembered for many years to come. A stepping out into legendary company, like James Brown, Michael Jackson and Bruno Mars. The message couldn’t be any stronger, and this is the perfect song for times like these.
